FAQs
While there are a list of contraindications that we will review on the first session, generally, if someone is cleared for weight training, they will be able to do WB-EMS with the exception of someone with a pacemaker. WB-EMS is for individuals aged 18+ with no age limit! There are no prerequisites to be able to train with WB-EMS- come with an open mind and a work-hard attitude!
Yes, the miha bodytec WB-EMS machine is safe to use with a licensed trainer like myself. It is a well-researched technology that has been established for many decades in conjunction with a knowledgeable trainer form the foundation for safe operation. Specially-created training structures ensure that responsible use is taught from the very beginning. Guidelines for safe use have been developed by examining practical experiences and combining them with scientific research.
You will wear a provided under garment that is specifically designed to work in conjunction with the Miha Bodytec machine that will produce maximum results. I would recommend wearing athletic shoes and bring water to drink!
A membership is a monthly fee that includes four one-on-one 20-minute WB-EMS sessions (one/week), a full body analysis with medical history/goals/measurements, customized exercises and body relax. There are no contracts and the membership is month-to-month. There is a one-time additional fee of $80 for the under garment.
After the first session you could feel improved energy, relaxation of muscle spasms, increased blood flow and circulation, improved posture, improved balance and coordination. Between 4-8 weeks, you see tightening and toning of muscles, increased stamina, improved mobility and range of motion, increased core strength, increased strength and agility, decreased hip to waist ratio and body symmetry.
I will only be training people 1 x/week. Technically you can train with WB-EMS with 4 days rest in between sessions, but you have to be able to work up to that and it is not necessary for regular strength training. Science-based testing have shown that the optimal results come after training 1x/week. Two x’s/month would be more at a maintaining level and 1 x/month would not produce results.
